Organizing Director | DC Working Families
Ericka Taylor is the Organizing Director for DC Working Families and has spent the bulk of her professional life working for social justice organizations. She began her career as an organizer with the DC chapter of ACORN and, since then, has worked as an organizer and technical assistance provider in Albuquerque, Memphis, and Alexandria, Virginia. She also spent seven years on the program staff at Public Welfare Foundation, providing grants to social and economic justice organizations around the country and in northern Mexico. Immediately before joining Working Families, she worked an independent consultant, which followed her role as the Executive Director of the DC Fair Budget Coalition. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors or Steering Committees of the National Organizers Alliance, Progressive Technology Project, National Priorities Project, Western States Center, and La Clínica del Pueblo and is currently on the board of Jews United for Justice.
