Emmie DiCicco spent her final year in journalism school documenting poverty and organizing in low-income neighborhoods, which inspired her to pursue social justice organizing after graduation. After a stint as a tour manager for a punk band’s cross country tour, she returned to Philadelphia, working as an organizer for education funding, Bernie Sander’s presidential bid, and eventually, money out of politics. She has a particular passion for the intersection of nutrition with corruption, racism, environmental devastation, and the war on our bodies. Her role at MarchOnHarrisburg is mostly to illustrate the absurdity of corruption and our democracy via memes. Will not participate in any revolution without glitter.
